The Proposal Templates
The Proposal Template was developed to address all the criteria in Rule 3333-1-08 (Standards for Issuing Certificates of Authorization under Chapter 1713 of the Ohio Revised Code), and to standardize the proposal writing process.
The template also attempts to eliminate the confusion and most complexities related to the writing a proposal to Regents.
Staff will guide each institution through the development of the writing of a proposal requesting authorization in Ohio.
Proposal writing workshops are also held periodically throughout each year. Check the Regents websites for schedules.
The Proposal Template was developed in sequential sections.
Only a large and very comprehensive university with many sites might be required to address every section of the template.
Each institution will only write to those sections that are relevant to their proposal. (Staff will also provide guidance in making those determinations.)
If an institution is requesting authorization for multiple programs, the institution will begin by only developing one proposal first with the guidance of Regents staff. Many sections of the first proposal can be copied into the remaining proposals after the sections of the first proposal have been completed.
All sections are identified below:
- Section 1: Directions, Executive Summary, Institutional Profile, Accreditation, Institutional Mission/Purpose
